Core Responsibilities • Overall management of the store and able to work independently • Ensure the overall business meets profit targets and operates smoothly • Review and determine products in stock regularly • Ensure that the service standards are on the highest level and constantly improve them • Promote and advertise the store's goods and services • Maintain security controls cash, keys, alarms and stock • Set prices for goods, ensuring highest profit • Develop and maintain a professional and cooperative relationship with suppliers • Manage stock levels, stock control and records, including implementing stock control systems, stock tracking, purchasing, stock discounting and clearance • Buying, controlling and analyzing the stock level of business • Determining store service standards • Keeping track of income and expenses and hold good understanding of accounting as per the business requirements • Undertake budgeting, cash reconciliation, petty cash and banking • Maintain records and documentation for the business • Develop purchasing and marketing policies • Advertising, pricing and promotion of products to maintain sales of business • Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies • Sell goods to customers, advise on and recommend products and add on products • Follow up on customer complaints/comments and resolve • Develop customer service standards to improve customer relations • Recruit, select, orient, train and supervise other staff according to business needs • Ensure the business has a sufficient level of staffing and staff rosters are prepared • Ensure staff compliance with occupational health and safety regulations • Efficient cleaning and maintenance duties are performed. Requirements • Hold a relevant diploma qualification or at least 3 year of supervisory work experience • It is advantage to have worked in supervisory position • Experience in retail store is an advantage • Able to perform the tasks independently • Position will require weekend, public holidays and some split shift working ability Location – Wellington Hourly wage rate - $29.80 Full Time - 30 hours week is guaranteed or more Applicants must have NZ citizen/resident or valid work visa (mention in CV) Apply online for this role or contact us for more information.
