STORE MANAGER
We are looking for an energetic Store Manager to oversee our busy Orewa liquor store situated at 8K Moana Avenue, Auckland.
The Role:
Communicate effectively with suppliers.
Order products based on demand and market trends.
Monitor industry trends to identify and introduce new products.
Create purchasing policies and set product prices.
Lead the promotion and advertising of products and services, ensuring maximum visibility and customer engagement.
Develop relationships with local bars, restaurants, and other establishments to negotiate wholesale deals and supply agreements.
Assist customers in selecting and purchasing products, offering expert advice on product use and recommendations.
Drive sales by focusing on customer service excellence and creating a welcoming shopping environment.
Handle daily banking tasks, including cash-ups, cash deposits, and managing safe practices for money handling.
Conduct regular stock audits and ensure compliance with internal inventory controls.
Maintain accurate records of stock levels, financial transactions, and sales data.
Manage the budgeting process, ensuring financial targets are met and expenses are controlled.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and scheduling of staff to maintain efficient store operations.
Supervise staff to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Ensure the store follows health and safety rules.
Implement and maintain store operations in line with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act and other relevant laws.
Oversee and manage the process for renewing the store's alcohol license, ensuring all necessary documentation and timelines are adhered to.
Ensure all repairs and services are completed on time and comply with safety standards to avoid operational disruptions.
Maintain a secure environment by managing safety protocols for cash handling, stock security, and customer interactions.

Ideally you will have your LCQ and General Managers Certificate.
Drug Testing Required.
Class 2 license required for deliveries as need to drive a manual Truck.
Must have 6 months experience in the same field.
Level 6 education is mandatory. The job requires a certain amount of maturity and understanding which can be achieved with qualifications as well as work experience.
Police Vetting required as you will be dealing in cash.

Salary: $30.00 – $32.00 per hour
Schedule:
Shift work (Mon - Sun) mostly weekends work is required as we are busy on weekends.
Ability to commute/relocate:
Auckland City, Auckland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
Pay: From $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week
