About the team
Our speech-language therapy team is close-knit and supportive with a mix of skills and experience. We are excited about innovative practice and strive to provide an equitable and evidence-based service for our clients and their whanau.
About the role
You will be based in our Speech-Language Therapy department at Dunedin Hospital with our supportive and dynamic team of therapists. The role will be tailored to your experience and skillset, covering older person's health rehabilitation, acute medical, respiratory, and surgical wards.
About you
Ideally, you will bring at least 2-3 years' clinical experience to this position. We are looking for a Speech Language Therapist who enjoys working with an established team, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and is proactive in their ongoing development of advanced skills. You will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Therapy and hold an Annual Practising Certificate with the New Zealand Speech-Language Therapy Association.
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Experience in projects/initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly in healthcare settings.

Salary range
This role belongs to the PSA/DHBs Allied, Public Health and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($77,087 p.a.) and Step 7 ($107,600 p.a. pro rata) of the Allied, Public Health and Technical scale.
