InterContinental Auckland is proud to present Advieh Restaurant and Bar, a stunning culinary destination crafted under the visionary guidance of our Partner Chef, Gareth Stewart. We are now seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic team and contribute to our exceptional dining experience.

As the Sous Chef at Advieh Restaurant and Bar, you will play a crucial role in the success of our culinary team. Reporting directly to the Head Chef and collaborating closely with our renowned Partner Chef, Gareth Stewart, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, preparation, and execution of culinary delights that meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.

Explore your journey ahead

Assist in managing the culinary team; ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations

Take charge in the absence of the Head Chef, maintaining consistency and quality in all culinary preparations

Collaborate with the our Head Chef and Partner Chef Gareth Stewart in creating innovative and seasonal menus

Mentor and train junior chefs and kitchen team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment

Ensure all kitchen areas are clean, organised, and comply with our hygiene and safety standards

What we need from you

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role

Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices

Excellent leadership and teamwork skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences
A culinary degree or relevant qualification from an accredited institution is highly desirable
