In this role, you'll oversee all aspects of the showroom's operations – from sales performance and store presentation to building key business accounts in Mount Maunganui and beyond. However, we are ideally seeking someone with availability to work one weekend day per week to support our team's needs.Key Responsibilities:Lead and inspire a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.Manage showroom operations, including inventory control, visual merchandising, and staff supervision.Drive business growth by developing relationships with trade and interior design professionals.Collaborate with marketing to execute showroom events and engage the community.Ensure health and safety practices are upheld at all times.Track inventory, maintain store presentation, and oversee daily operations to meet profitability targets.Provide ongoing coaching and support to the showroom team, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and high performance.Develop and implement strategies to meet monthly sales targets, including upselling, cross-selling, and personalised customer solutions.Cultivate long-lasting relationships with clients, trade professionals, and interior designers, ensuring consistent follow-ups and tailored service.Continuously seek ways to improve the showroom experience by identifying trends, optimising store layouts, and suggesting innovative merchandising ideas.Regularly track, analyse, and report on showroom performance, sales data, and customer feedback to inform future business decisions.What You'll Bring:Proven leadership experience in retail or a customer-facing role, with a minimum of 2+ years experience in a leadership role.A keen eye for design, with an ability to translate aesthetics into effective sales strategies.Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and your team.A flexible and proactive attitude, always ready to take initiative and lead by example.This role is more than just a job – it's an opportunity to be a part of something special as KAYU Studio continues to grow in New Zealand.
