### Job Description
Essendant is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join our team in Tauranga. This part-time role is crucial for driving operational excellence and efficiency within our organization. As an Operations Manager, you will oversee and optimize various aspects of our operations, ensuring that we meet our company standards and deliver exceptional service to our customers.
### Key Responsibilities
- **Operational Strategy:** Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company goals and objectives. Collaborate with senior management to identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement necessary changes.
- **Process Improvement:** Analyze current operational processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies. Lead initiatives to streamline operations and improve productivity, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.
- **Team Leadership:** Manage and mentor operational staff to foster a high-performing team culture. Provide direction, training, and performance feedback, ensuring team members are motivated and engaged.
- **Budget Management:** Prepare and manage operational budgets, ensuring financial resources are effectively allocated. Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures to achieve financial targets.
- **Supplier and Vendor Relations:** Establish and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships to ensure the quality of services and products.
- **Reporting and Analytics:** Utilize data and analytics to measure operational performance. Prepare reports for key stakeholders, presenting insights on performance metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- **Compliance and Risk Management:** Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- **Cross-Departmental Collaboration:** Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to foster collaboration and ensure a seamless operational flow.
- **Research and Development:** Stay updated on industry trends and developments. Conduct research to inform operational strategies and best practices, ensuring our operations remain competitive.
### Requirements
- **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations management or a related field, with proven success in leading operational teams.
