Put simply, sustainability is what we do.About the RoleWe are looking for a Service Technician to join our Waste Management Technical Services team based in East Tamaki.In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and cleaning parts-washer machines, workshop collections, industrial collections, and allied product sales at customer premises. We predominantly work Monday to Friday (some limited Saturday work required) which enables you to have weekends to yourself.Job DescriptionKey responsibilities will includeInspecting, cleaning, and servicing equipment in accordance with customer's satisfaction and noting any maintenance requirementsCollecting, recording, and storing waste and chemicalsTransporting of wastes to comply with Dangerous Goods regulations.Required to be available for out of town and overnight run on a weekly basis.QualificationsTo be successful in this role you need to haveA valid NZ Class 2 Licence with relevant driving experience.At least one year driving Class 2 trucks.Possess proven customer service skillsDemonstrate self-motivation, attention to detail, and strong time management skills.Excellent communication skills with a great customer service approach and a 'can do' attitude is a must.A dangerous goods endorsement is desirable but not essential.You will need to be physically fit and can work both autonomously and as part of a team.Full training will be provided.Additional InformationHow to applyTo apply for this role click Apply nowPlease note - we do not always work to fixed closing dates and may start considering applications as they are received so we encourage you to apply early.WM is an EEO employer and promotes drug and alcohol-free workplaces.You must be in New Zealand and hold a current work visa/residency or NZ citizenship.
