Our team provides HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry services to a variety of major clients that range from the education and government sector to commercial buildings in the CBD and state-of-the-art facilities across the region.
About the Role: Ideally, you will have broad HVAC maintenance experience with the ability to prioritise and manage your work activities.
Whilst not essential, the ability to work with and train apprentices and trade assistants will be highly regarded.
The ideal candidate will have 5 + years of experience in the trade, with a proven track record in fault finding and troubleshooting.
Your responsibilities will include: Efficiently, effectively and safely carry out all planned maintenance, reactive or remedial service work, fault diagnostics, and installation works relating to HVAC/Mechanical (air conditioning and refrigeration)Expedite all works in a professional and tradesman-like manner to a level of quality that meets commercial/ industry standardsThis role entails working unsupervised, or as part of a team, to deliver high-quality HVAC/Mechanical trade serviceWilling to work flexible hours and have the ability to manage your own time in order to meet deadlinesEnsuring a safe working environment for self, colleagues, customers, and the general publicThis position will require availability for after-hours work and emergency call support on a rotating basisChampion the continued development and delivery of the Company's guiding principles.To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience: HVAC trade qualifications with at least five years of NZ experienceNZ residency and/or valid NZ permit to workA proven background in HVAC installation, maintenance, servicing, and remedial repairsElectrical Service Technician LicenceCurrent Unrestricted NZ Drivers LicenseBe well-presented and have a high degree of self-motivationA passion for maintaining a safe work environmentExcellent communication and customer service skillsKnowledge of building and service regulations and statutory obligationsExcellent understanding of HVAC Mechanical and/or Plumbing design and constructionThe Horizon Energy Group takes pride in its commitment to the health and safety of all its stakeholders.
