Mo te roopu - About the Customer and Compliance Service - Planning Design and Delivery team (CCS-PDD) Planning Design and Delivery (PDD) is a shared centralised service.
Our purpose is to optimise business outcomes, customer experience and the effectiveness and efficiency of Inland Revenue's operations.
We work alongside our business partners in Customer and Compliance Services (CCS), and across IR, to understand our work and change program and be able to support consistent planning and prioritisation of our work.
We manage the design and implementations of all changes to IR's core tax and social policy systems and related business processes.
Mo te tunga - About the role Our Service Owners in CCS PDD each have end-to-end responsibility for a service area and team.
They also provide leadership in their wider group.
Service Owners bring a strong customer improvement focus and champion IR's customer-centric culture.
This role may be based in any IR location within NZ.

Process, Access and Securities and Workflow This Service Owner leads a regionally diverse team that provides a range of services for CSS and IR that includes: Ensure that Inland Revenue ARIS Process Library, for current and future processes are modelled, updated, and maintained and the impact of process changes are analysed and flagged.
Build effective relationships across IR's wider community and work in networked teams.
Ensuring system access for users of our core START system is adequately managed, maintained and optimised in-line with IR practice access management principles and practices.
Maintain and optimise workflow and task management functions within our core START system to support IR integrated operational planning and business requirements.
Work on the design and delivery of annual changes, legislative and other change initiatives involving these functional areas.
Mou - About you To join our Service Owner team, we're looking for people who: Are highly customer-centric in their approach to providing solutions and outcomes (at a customer lifecycle or segment level).
Bring some experience of leading through change and are passionate about supporting people as they learn new and different approaches to their work.
Have leadership experience, including coaching and developing people to build their capability and deliver better business outcomes.
Have experience in operational and tactical planning practices and principles.
Skilled at leading a team who are specialists in their field and often called upon to provide analysis and advice.
Have experience in working and managing commercial partnerships to deliver service offerings.
Partner well with others to design, deliver and integrate solutions to enhance customer experience and compliance.
Have a good understanding or experience of governance practices and principles.
Have a sound understanding of ARIS, Service Now and JIRA (or similar platforms) preferred.
Makes sound decisions, drawing on your relevant experience and using appropriate tools, frameworks, and approaches.
