Management (Community Services & Development) Permanent full time - Invercargill based About the role We are seeking a proactive, energetic and resilient person to lead the practice and management of a strong and dedicated team of social work professionals who provide support to clients via an extensive range of services in the wider Southland and Otago regions.
This role provides an opportunity to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships, and to be pro-actively involved with key collaborations and innovation leadership within the Southland region.
This role requires regular travel within the Southland/Otago regions.
If you thrive on variety, have in-depth experience leading, managing and developing staff and have previously worked in a senior leadership role, then this could be just the role for you!
To undertake the role you will need to be: An approachable and competent leader preferably with previous leadership experience in the social services sector.
Knowledgeable with a current understanding of relevant social work practice standards.
Have a sound understanding of the social services sector including contract management and reporting.
Passionate about providing services to tamariki and whanau.
Skills and Experience We'd like to hear from you if you have: Appropriate tertiary social services qualification and management experience.
Proven financial management skills and expertise.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in the not for profit or government sector (preferable).
Sound knowledge of government/funder processes and systems.
A current clean full NZ driver's license.
