Our friendly Animal Services team are seeking an Animal Control Officer. Key responsibilities for this role include: Responding to requests for service/complaints as per legislative and bylaw requirements. Undertaking investigations of complaints and providing written reports/recommendations to team leader/manager. Undertaking compliance/enforcement actions including impounding dogs, property inspections, infringements. Animal husbandry including cleaning, feeding, and exercising dogs at the Animal Control Facility. Providing education and advice to dog owners and non-dog owners. What you will bring: Experience in a regulatory/compliance role. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of dog and animal behaviour. Great communication with the ability to deal with difficult or confrontational situations. Investigation skills; experience working with legislation and report writing would be an advantage.
