About the role  A rare opportunity to take on a clinical leadership role managing a team of clinicians to deliver therapeutic services to young people aged 12-24 and their whanau in the wider Central Lakes Area. 
This role is an excellent blend of clinical team leadership, management and development,  while still holding a reduced caseload to work directly with the young people we support.  
You will oversee the effective service delivery to clients and whanau across all of ADL's clinical services in the Central Lakes area, focusing on service growth and developing relationships with the community and other service providers.  
About the role Oversee all ADL services delivered in the Central Lakes region and ensure they are accessible, safe, respectful, and effective.  A pivotal role connecting the local team to the wider organisationManage a dynamic team of passionate clinicians, support their well-being and development, and contribute to a positive team culture. Provide therapeutic counselling for at-risk young people aged 12 - 24 years and their whanau.Provide a service that reflects the principles of the Treaty of WaitangiRespect the diverse ethnic and cultural heritage of New Zealand and utilise culturally appropriate counselling practicesMaintain professional registrationPermanent full-time role (various hours from 32 to 40 hours per week possible for the right applicant). Relocation allowance available5 weeks annual leaveCultural support & supervision1:1 professional supervisionAnnual PD budget and PD leaveAnnual Wellbeing AllowanceRole proactively supported by experienced leadership team and support services.  Skills and experience Management or leadership experience, OR a real commitment to develop these skills.Current full NZ professional registration (i.e. Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Social Worker, Nurse Therapist, or Counsellor (DAPAANZ or NZAC - must be eligible for TWO Health Registration)Experience working as a  brief & longer-term clinician in the Mental Health and/or Addictions fieldKnowledge of motivational interviewing, ACT/ CBT, solution-focused, whanau & cultural therapiesKaupapa Maori knowledgeYour full driver's license. The position will require travel across the Central Lakes region to support the team and clients.
