What we're looking for We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Centre Administrator / Security Guard to join our team.
Located at the Waiouru Military Camp, this is an exciting and varied role where a typical day will involve: Greeting all visitors to the Service Centre, answering telephone and email enquiries.
Monitoring and responding to the Intruder Alarm System.
Assisting with securing and opening restricted buildings during working hours.
Issuing and receipting keys for camp facilities and accommodation.
Providing assistance with the collation of data for monthly reports.
Managing accounting functions including processing credit requirements (invoices, credit notes).
Managing local purchasing of stationery, uniforms, and consumables.
Maintaining site filing and archiving records.
Assisting with Health and Safety reporting and admin tasks, and attending health and safety meetings.
Controlling entry and exit points.
Checking IDs and issuing temporary passes.
Completing walking and vehicle roving patrols.
Following guidelines or protocols set by PAE and NZDF.
Maintaining a register of incidents and completing incident reports.
Following the correct procedure for any breaches of security.
Due to the working environment, you will need to be available for day and night shift work across Monday to Sunday.
The shifts are Monday to Friday: 0530-1330, 1330-2130, 2130-0530 or Saturday and Sunday 0530-1730, 1730-0530.
What you will bring Relevant administration experience within a similar role, e.g., reception or sole charge of an office.
Experience managing competing activities with the ability to effectively prioritise.
Advanced use of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Understanding of Health, Safety, and Quality Assurance.
Ability to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality.
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
