The Role
As Senior Utilities Manager you will provide management and oversight of council's three waters, solid waste and engineering services and operational activities. You will lead a team of direct reports ensuring their clear understanding of their duties and responsibilities.
Other duties would include:
Develop the capabilities of your team through coaching, mentorship, development planning and sharing of your knowledge and expertise
Evaluate complex utility maintenance and operational issues and recommend a course of action
Be a key participant in the preparation of the annual operation plan as well as Engineering for an emergency which focuses on corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance activities
Oversee network performance and renewals programs while striving for efficiency and continuous improvement across three waters and solid waste activities
Maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
About You
We are searching for someone with proven experience managing external suppliers and contractors and who has the know-how to lead a team. You must have excellent planning and operational skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently to meet standards and deadlines.
Relevant Tertiary qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
Knowledge of local Government info structure and utilities sector
