Senior Support Officer required to join a busy Financial Accounting team to fulfill our Accounts Receivable function

Salary midpoint of $64,877, actual salary dependent on your experience
We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters. The Financial Accounting team is responsible for running the day-to-day financial operations for the Ministry, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing functions and preparing financial statements and the analysis of financial data.
Ko ake mahi - What you'll doThe Senior Support Officer is responsible for performing and supporting the daily management of financial processing functions within the Financial Accounting team.
In this role you will be actively collaborating and engaging with colleagues across the Ministry to ensure the team meets its objectives. Daily tasks may include:
Daily processing of Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable related tasks
Collaborating across the Ministry to manage payment collection
Inputting data into the finance systems
Providing prompt resolution to queries and excellent customer service
Preparing and providing information requested by stakeholders such as Audit NZ, Official Information Requests, and Select Committee questions
Ko pukenga - What you'll bringExperience in accurate financial processing and accounting software such as Oracle.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent prioritisation skills, ability to take initiative, work under pressure and meet deadlines in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
Refined interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain working relationships to accomplish goals
Advanced MS Excel skills
