Have you got experience in developing place-based plans such as district-wide spatial plans or community-level master plans and placemaking plans, and can you bring a best-practice approach to the process and methodologies for preparing and embedding these plans in Council plans and processes for implementation?
We have an awesome opportunity within our Growth Planning & Placemaking team for someone who has these skills and who can bring their experience to lead or collaborate on the development of necessary plans, including identifying place-based long-term community outcomes and growth requirements, and developing future planning scenarios that guide long-term infrastructure requirements and development contributions policy.

I a koe - About You Looking for a candidate who is: Experienced in best-practice process and methodology for the development, implementation, and maintenance of district-wide and community-level spatial plans, masterplans, or placemaking plans.
Demonstrable experience in leading public/private/iwi working groups to successful community outcomes.
Experienced in collaborating across an organisation and externally to build trusted relationships and achieve necessary iwi, community, or organisational support for project milestones and outcomes.
Experienced in the development of planning scenarios incorporating demand, supply, constraints, and opportunities for identifying medium- and long-term growth in the district (urban and rural) and collaborating with our 3W colleagues or consultants to facilitate infrastructure optioneering to service the projected growth.
Comfortable assimilating a wide range of complex data and presenting this simply and clearly to a variety of audiences, using suitable presentation methods, these could include ESRI GIS, storyboard, and Microsoft office software.

The salary for this position is Grade 18 within Council's salary structure (Band: $96,643 - $113,697 per annum) dependent on qualifications and experience, plus Kiwi Saver.
