About the role:
Reporting to the Insights Lead under Credit Risk Management you will be part of a highly specialised team who strives to deliver the best possible customer experiences, whilst mitigating the banks risk of losses through effective and efficient risk management. This will include:
Lead deep dive analyses on specific topics that are timely to business performance
Seek opportunities to continuously improve automation of all aspects of Credit Risk reporting processes, including both relevant data flows and report generation
Generate recommendations to improve performance, based on data-driven insights
Develop a framework for monitoring the performance of retail strategies
At the heart of this role, you will be supporting the business with their strategic goals, building capability across the business, and ensuring credit risk is managed according to the requirements of ASB. One of the key aspects of this role will see you authoring Executive level committee papers to facilitate annual reviews of retail strategies, and/or recommend change.
About you:
We are looking for someone who is capable of operating across high-level initiatives, as well as being in the detail where required. You will be a champion of good governance around model documentation and retail credit risk processes and strategies. Be able to collaborate fluidly with internal stakeholders and have experience working with SQL, SAS, Tableau and/or PowerBI etc. You will have experience across the end-to-end analytics process, from writing code, to report generation, to communicating the insights at a senior level. It is essential for you to have:
Solid stakeholder management skills with good business acumen
Strong communication, especially the ability to explain technical/credit topics to others
6-10 years of relevant experience from within a Risk Management area
Experience in formal documentation, report writing and developing dashboard solutions, from writing efficient code to presenting an automated, self-service front end.
