An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Senior Sous Chef at our popular beachside Bistro.
We are looking for a talented and dedicated Senior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. As the Senior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen, help develop new dishes, and lead by example in a face-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsiblities:
Assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking and plating.
Contribute to menu planning and development, ensuring a balance of creativity and quality.
Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering ingredients and supplies.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
Step in for Head Chef as needed, managing kitchen operations in their absence.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a similar role in a high-volume restaurant.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively under pressure.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
Passion for cooking and a keen eye for detail.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.

Requirements:
Experience running a busy kitchen
Able to work according to rosters which may include weekends, days, night or public holidays.
