Unicom New Zealand Ltd is based in Auckland and focuses on telecommunication and IT solutions to various industry needs.
We are on the hunt for a skilled and motivated Software Tester to enhance our team's capability to deliver cutting-edge software solutions to our esteemed clients. This role is crucial for ensuring the delivery of robust, efficient, and high-quality software through meticulous testing and continuous improvement processes.
This job is required to perform: (specific duty tasks)

Engage closely with software development teams to understand system designs, requirements, and technical specifications. Your primary goal will be to ensure these designs are flawlessly executed and fully meet our client's needs through rigorous testing.
Lead the creation and execution of detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. This includes the assessment of software quality through manual and automated testing.
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs. Collaborate with software developers to enable the resolution of identified issues, ensuring the optimization of software performance and reliability.
Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in software testing and the broader IT industry. Use this knowledge to recommend tools, technologies, and methodologies that can help enhance our testing processes.
Take responsibility for maintaining up-to-date technical documentation related to test cases, test results, and quality metrics. Ensure clear communication of testing outcomes and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proactively identify potential improvements in software products and testing processes. Suggest enhancements to address technology limitations and deficiencies in current systems, processes, and practices.
Provide expert advice and support in the planning, execution, and refinement of software testing strategies. This includes contributing insights during proposal development phases to ensure robust testing methodologies are integrated into software design and development workflows.

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job 

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on software development and testing methodologies. AND
3 years demonstrated experience as a Software Tester, with a proven track record of implementing successful testing strategies that improve software quality and performance.
A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.The ability to work both independently and as an integral member of a team.
Effective communication skills, with the capability to articulate technical issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Flexibility to work extra hours as needed to meet critical deadlines or address urgent issues.

   Employment type : Permanent full time   Minimum hours per week : 30 hours   Maximum hours per week : 40 hours   Pay frequent - FortnightlyÂ
