You will play a crucial role in developing our market-leading eco-system of solutions, Imago & Seequent Evo.As part of 'Team Rocket,' our 4-person, full stack development team you will play a key role in designing and building our next generation collaborative workflow system, think Git, for the geoscience industries. From the back-end API's that power our solution to the front-end web experience allowing customers to visualize their data structures. We are looking for someone familiar with API design, database structures and a passion for innovative UX flows.As a senior within our teams, you will have the opportunity to mentor and grow those around you and build your skills alongside our Evo teams here in Christchurch and our team of amazing and passionate engineers spread around the globe here at Seequent.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Design and develop sophisticated software applications, components, and modules that push the boundaries of technology.Create models, simulations, and prototypes of software behaviour to gain stakeholder approval and ensure smooth construction, verifying designs with advanced methods.Code, test, document, and refine complex programs, scripts, and integration services, ensuring high-quality and efficient solutions.Participate in code reviews, pair-programming, and automation activities, promoting excellence in software engineering practices.Mentor and guide fellow software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.In order to be successful in this role, it would be great if you had:7+ years building Single Page Applications or equivalents and a strong understanding of front-end architectures and design principlesExperience working with cloud providers like Azure, AWS or GCPExperience working with the following tools: Python, FastAPI, Postgres, Typescript, React, KurbenetesFamiliarity with CI/CD Pipelines (i.e. GitHub, Gitlab, etc.)Experience work with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)Knowledge of source control systemsWhy you will enjoy working with us..You will be joining a highly skilled, highly productive team of technical experts who are passionate about what we do.
