They require a Senior Site Manager to cover a variety of projects across New Zealand's North Island. They need a hand's on construction site manager with a commercial/industrial or even civil structures background who gets involved and leads from the front. The projects are new build/refurb schemes across the North Island, so you must be comfortable with some travel, but also means you can be based in any of the main cities. Also with good allowances in place for this, the company will look after you. To be considered you must have a solid career history, ideally established with in a main contractor's environment. Ideally you will have New Zealand experience, however they would consider overseas applicants with some local NZ experience.Ideally you would have gained a minimum of 6 - 8 years' experience and have worked on a number of other commercial/Industrial building projects. You need to be able to take projects through the life cycle of the scheme and keep to program. Your experience as a site manager will be second to none, this is a position where your man management and construction knowledge are essential to make sure these projects are a success for you and the company. You must be able to understand the running of the site, the co-ordination of the staff/subs, hold the ability to motivate and have a solid understanding of the construction drawings and with financial management awareness. Excellent communication skills are important with a number of very important stake holders involved.
