The Built Structures team is a small group of property professionals within the larger Crown property group, responsible for managing all built structures within a large diverse portfolio.

About you and your role In this role, you'll be responsible for managing a large diverse property portfolio. This is an exciting technical property role, and no two days are the same.
Our portfolio is challenging with diverse properties in various conditions, many in isolated and rural areas. A love for travel is a must, as you'll be regularly traveling nationwide to inspect our properties and determine what to do with them.
You'll have a deep understanding of property management principles and the property lifecycle to provide strategic property development advice.
You'll be able to collaborate well with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality services and cost-effective solutions.
You'll be a natural relationship-builder, relating to and communicating well with people from all backgrounds, whether resolving day-to-day tenancy matters or working with iwi on Treaty Settlement properties.
You will also need to demonstrate strong field experience and confidence while working with customers.
We are looking for streetwise technical property experts who thrive under pressure.
Skills and Experience 10+ years relevant experience working as a Development Manager or Senior Property Manager (residential and non-residential). Valid unrestricted New Zealand Driver's License. Advanced level of confidence undertaking complex site inspections, identifying risks, and communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders. Strong understanding of both commercial and residential property management principles. Experience in facilities management with the ability to provide sound strategic property advice. Ability to undertake detailed financial analysis and scenario modeling. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Able to work with collaboration and agility. Sound understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi in relation to property.
