The Role As a Senior Product Designer at Basis, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting intuitive user experiences across our platform that cater to electricians and consumers of energy. You will help create, test, break and shape the outcomes that deliver value to our customers, ensuring engagement and maximising their commercial success. Your work will directly impact how users interact with our smart panels, shaping a radically new energy experience.
Some of the things that you might be involved in include:
User Research: Conduct research and analysis to identify user needs and pain points. Provide a well-defined user narrative and contribute to the strategic direction of projects. User Testing: Lead usability testing initiatives to identify issues, pain points, and areas for improvement. Gather feedback and iterate quickly to refine digital experiences. Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, product design teams (both physical and digital), development teams, and test engineers to define project goals, user flows, and information architecture. User Experience Design: Apply a holistic, end-to-end human-centred design approach (ideation to delivery). Facilitate the design of journey and story maps based on robust research. Define and design intuitive user experiences by identifying user problems and devising elegant solutions. Prototyping: Create wireframes and prototypes using Figma.About You We think you'll be a fit for this role if you have the following skills or traits:
Ideally formal design training with clear understanding of design principles, methods and their application. Demonstrated use of effective UX frameworks to solve complex design issues. Ability to articulate insights and scale of user problems effectively to various stakeholders. Understand the integration points between design and product development teams. Experience defining and prioritising feature development by applying user-centric design principles. Ability to develop and demonstrate effective engagement strategies with product development teams. Demonstrable experience of building B2C and B2B digital products. Demonstrate an impeccable eye for design aesthetic and style, tied to brand identity and narrative.Some nice to have's include:
Experience in IoT or physical products. Graphic or user interface design skills.
