The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in database administration, specifically with PostgreSQL, and will demonstrate a proven track record in managing, optimizing, and securing database environments.
The Senior PostgreSQL DBA will be responsible for designing and implementing robust database solutions while ensuring high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
You will collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless database integration within our applications.
Responsibilities: Administer, maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL databases.Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning measures.Implement backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity.Develop and enforce database security policies and procedures.Collaborate with application developers to design and optimize database schema.Assist in capacity planning and scalability of database environments.Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues in a timely manner.Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration.Strong knowledge of database design, optimization, and replication.Experience with monitoring tools and database performance tuning.Familiarity with backup and restoration processes in PostgreSQL.Understanding of security practices related to database environments.Proficient in SQL and PL/pgSQL scripting.If you have any further questions, please contact Angela Park at 022 525 8233.
