The role requires close engagement and collaboration with sector teams and advice to Senior Officials across MBIE in support of the legislative changes to resource management laws.
The position is situated in MBIE's Critical Supply Chains team which provides the opportunity to link the mahi on nationally significant infrastructure priorities to the work on strengthening the resilience of the New Zealand economy to supply chain shocks.

We are looking for a strongly motivated person with a proven track record and significant experience in solving complex problems and formulating high-quality policy advice for a range of stakeholders and projects.
Ideally you will also have: * Significant experience leading complex policy projects within central government (ideally with a focus on economic policy) is essential, including briefing and advising Senior Officials * Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and application of these in public policy and in partnership with Maori * Experiences in the application of advanced frameworks and methods of analysis to identify policy problems, analyse the issues, and identify and assess the policy options.
