Location: Hamilton City Employment Type: Permanent Applications Close: 17 September 2024 What does a day in this job look like? You will play a pivotal role within the unit holding dual responsibility for processing the higher level, complex and technical applications while also being a first point of call to other members of the team for technical guidance, direction, and support. You will hold a key role in the review of 42(a) reports and signoff (dependent on delegations). You will also collaborate and provide strategic and technical planning support to other units of Council. Skills and experience we are seeking: Minimum of 7 years' experience in planning and resource management. Extensive knowledge and experience of the relevant legislation relating to Local Government Act and Resource Management Act. Bachelor's degree in planning or resource management. A knowledge of related practices, such as resource planning, transport planning, economic and community development, landscape/ecological design, and sustainable environment issues. Ability to interpret legislation to determine planning and enforcement processes. Member of the NZ Planning Institute. What's in it for me?
