We are a very diverse team that works as one unit where everyone brings something to the table and is looked after by their peers.The work is hands-on and involves various operational teams, project managers, developers, and BAs. It also provides continuous learning experiences that encourage growth and development. The role itself will be situated within our Network Operations Centre where you will get to work alongside a dedicated network services group. We provide a challenging and sophisticated environment using a range of technologies to achieve our goals with a strong focus on Cisco solutions including firewalls, routing & switching, UCS, wireless, voice, and security.Our offices are based in Auckland. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!Note that it is a full-time position with rostered on-call and only open to those who have NZ working rights.What You'll BringAs a Senior Network Engineer, you will be an enthusiastic team player who understands what needs to be done to turn business requests into solutions. You won't be afraid to roll up your sleeves and be involved in sorting out the problem, not just the design. We need people who can talk about business – be it small, medium, or large – it's all relevant and can build networks across our greater Datacom team so that you have a wealth of knowledge available for your local customer.To join our team, you'll have good troubleshooting knowledge and ideally have:Proven experience as a Network Engineer (3-4 years)CCNA and CCNP full certification or equivalentHands-on implementation with vendors such as: Aruba, Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and F5.We're looking for smart people who get things done.
