The opportunity This is a unique opportunity to join our Urban Development Communications team as a Senior Marketing Specialist.

As a senior member of the team, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering marketing strategies, plans and campaigns that support the outcomes of the entire urban development programme (projects across growth, planning, infrastructure and city centre) and show how Auckland Council is building a better Auckland. We're talking insight-led marketing strategies (including content marketing) and plans, leading campaign development, managing campaign relationships with creative and media agencies, meeting budget and reporting requirements, and supporting the creation of content for varied communication channels. Day to day you can expect to:
• Build on existing relationships with partners, suppliers, and multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate the bi-annual city centre research, in conjunction with the department's research team
• Provide strategic advice to the Urban Development Communications team to support integrated and effective marketing and communications planning
• Lead the development and delivery of the Auckland's Future in Progress insight-informed campaigns and collateral, including brand management, creative and media briefs, content marketing plans and Auckland's Future in Progress website development
• Manage the day-to-day relationships with creative and media agencies, including preparing briefs and overseeing workflow and delivery
• Drive awareness of the Urban Development programme
• Develop content both written and video for digital platforms
• Initiate and assess research for insights to deliver effective marketing and communications initiatives and undertake post implementation reviews including performance measurement. You can view a copy of the position description He korero mou: About you
