The RoleThis role is an exciting opportunity to be a critical part of the Finance team supporting a high-growth organization that is radically changing the biotech industry. The INT Plant Controller will join a collaborative Finance team supporting our global CMC organization, which includes manufacturing operations, supply chain management, and facilities for our brand new Individualized Neoantigen Therapy (INT) site in Marlborough, MA. Responsibilities will focus on areas of inventory, standard costing, and cost of goods.We work collaboratively as a team, strive boldly for excellence, remain constantly curious and committed to ongoing learning and improvement, and are relentless in our pursuit of the best talent in the industry. This role reports to our CMC Controller and is based in Marlborough, MA, with a work arrangement that includes 70% on-site presence and up to 30% flexibility to work from home.Here's What You'll DoOversee financial reporting and analysis for the manufacturing plant, including partnering around budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Implement our current policies and procedures into our brand-new Marlborough INT Facility.Work alongside the project team and be a key contributor in the launch of the INT site.Provide guidance to operational teams through the validation and execution during the Process Performance Qualification (PPQ) phase.Maintain standard costs for all raw materials, WIP, semi-finished, and finished goods processes, demonstrating a digitize everywhere possible approach to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our cost accounting systems.Review current product costing methodology and process and identify improvement opportunities, applying a question convention mindset to enhance our cost management practices.Maintain a standard cost system to ensure the accuracy of inventory valuation and support annual manufacturing cost standard updates, reflecting our obsess over learning commitment to precision and accountability.Monitor transactions and processes including inventory movement, scrap, cycle counts, and cost of goods to ensure accuracy and compliance with corporate policies, showcasing our behave like owners ethos.Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary for inventory and cost of goods, and prepare general ledger reconciliations for all inventory and cost of goods accounts, embodying a push past possible attitude towards financial management.Coordinate with Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing departments to discuss and resolve issues in areas such as production, purchasing, accounts payable, receiving, shipping, and other, fostering a remove viscosity environment for smoother operational flow.Prepare and verify product costs in support of all cost-based pricing contracts, intercompany transfer pricing, and shipping valuations, using act with dynamic range to balance strategic analysis and day-to-day operations effectively.Analyze and report purchasing and manufacturing variances, employing a pivot fearlessly approach to quickly adapt strategies based on financial insights.Calculate Excess & Obsolescence reserves and develop and maintain SOX controls related to costing and inventory, ensuring robust financial controls and compliance.Oversee annual physical inventory and prepare for and participate in internal and external reviews and audits, upholding a high standard of accuracy and transparency.Support in the preparation of annual budgets and short-term forecasts, contributing strategically to financial planning and forecasting.Assist with day-to-day accounting activities where needed and work on special projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and a relentless pursuit of excellence.This role is designed for an ambitious finance professional who helps promote an inclusive environment, thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is eager to drive significant impact within a transformative company.
