Job Description Emphasis on deepening relationships with current mid, major and Planned Giving donors, identifying new high value major and planned giving prospects, and expanding both the number and loyalty of these donors through networking, cultivation, and stewardship.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement a strategic plan for the cultivation and solicitation of an assigned portfolio of approximately 100-120 mid-level, major and planned giving donors, customized to provide high-level touch points that cater to lived experiences of donors.
Qualify new high-capacity east coast donors with six, seven and eight figure capacity in consultation with prospect research staff on Davos 100.
Research and identify 20-25 new warm prospect opportunities annually for inclusion in the portfolio in partnership with the research team and through making new connections with philanthropy, business, and foundation networks.
Achieve portfolio annual revenue goal and assist in meeting and exceeding departmental goals.
Cultivate donors and prospects through virtual and in-person visits and other high-level interactions.
Document key points from these interactions and prepare necessary correspondence and proposals.
Ensure that timely requests for unrestricted support are presented to all donors and prospects.
Responsible for tracking request closure and ensuring timely acknowledgements.
Participate actively in prospect review and donor strategy meetings to share and request ideas for cultivation and solicitation strategies for restricted and unrestricted gifts; support interactive learning by all team members; serve as point person for east coast related major gifts fundraising activities, creatively engaging donors and interfacing with senior leaders and other staff making visiting the region as needed.
Develop cultivation strategies that incorporate creative, blended tasks in consultation with the Planned Giving Officer.
Facilitate Davos 100 leadership and program staff involvement in the fundraising process; recommend appropriate timing for donor/prospect engagement, prepare staff, facilitate, debrief, and manage follow up activity.
Collaborate with Davos 100 events lead, board, leadership council and Davos 100 volunteer groups to implement donor cultivation and stewardship events when appropriate; identify, recruit, and support hosts for these events.
Ensure the timely and accurate completion of routine work such as gift acknowledgements, solicitation and cultivation mailings, event invitations, CRM data entry, and database coding of gifts in collaboration with East Donor Relationship Associate and Davos 100 members.
Work with program staff as needed to acquire knowledge needed to solicit gifts and build donor relationships effectively; determine investment opportunities for donors who wish to restrict their gift to a specific program area; participate in the creation of interim and final reports for donors making restricted gifts, as requested.
Understand and comply with all Davos 100 in America and global gift-related policies and procedures to ensure ethical compliance, as defined by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Perform other duties as required.
