Massey University - Te Kunenga ki Purehuroa's prestigious School of Nursing is seeking a vibrant and engaged Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor.
This role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional leadership in nursing education and research at one of Aotearoa New Zealand's top nursing schools.
The position is a permanent ongoing role, 1FTE (nominally 37.5 hours per week) based on our Manawatu campus.
Leadership: Drive nursing workforce development and foster relationships with nurse leaders, Iwi partners, and community and primary care providers.
Collaboration: Work with external stakeholders and interdisciplinary colleagues to shape strategy, develop curriculum, and teach social justice and professional practice.
Cultural Integration: Energize the team while enhancing Te Ao Maori, matauranga Maori, tikanga, and cultural safety within our programmes.
Mentorship & Research: Support junior staff in their teaching and research, contribute to a vibrant research culture, and lead successful grant applications.
The salaries spanning these roles are from (2024), Senior Lecturer - $121,346 to $143,948 (NZD) to Associate Professor - $134,424 to $157,025 (NZD).
Salary will be negotiable by background/experience.
The employment setting will involve work with people across the lifespan and applicants will be required to comply with the requirements of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and the Vulnerable Children (Requirements for Safety Checks of Children's Workers) Regulations 2015.
Ko koe tenei | About you Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate (APC).
A PhD or equivalent in nursing or a related field.
Strategic ability to lead research projects/workforce initiatives using qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including Kaupapa Maori.
Ability to supervise doctoral students in mixed methods, including Kaupapa Maori / indigenous methodologies.
Demonstrated engagement to form relationships with nurse leaders, Iwi partners, and external stakeholders.
Clinical leadership experience in nursing and education.
Experience in clinical and professional leadership, curriculum development, and blended teaching approaches including online technologies.
Excellent communication and relationship management in inter-disciplinary teams.
Publications in national and international journals in nursing or health-related fields.
