Ko wai matou About us: Taumata Arowai is the water services regulator for Aotearoa New Zealand. It is a Crown entity governed by a Minister-appointed Board and advised on Maori interests and knowledge by Te Puna, a statutory Maori Advisory Group.
Our responsibilities are to protect and promote drinking water safety and related public health outcomes - we regulate drinking water suppliers on behalf of the public. We also have an oversight role in relation to the environmental performance of drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater networks.

Mo tenei turanga mahi About this role: Our Senior Investment Analyst will provide analysis and advice on infrastructure investment by regulated parties and the cost of complying with rules and standards.
The Senior Investment Analyst will:
Lead the assessment of investment plans produced by regulated parties alongside technical advisors.
Monitor the cost of compliance at supplier and sector scales, including the underlying drivers of operating and capital costs.
Provide analysis and advice into investment trends and the benefits and costs of compliance as part of the development of regulatory instruments, guidance, training, and systems to support the regulatory framework.

Ko koe tenei About you: We are looking for someone who:
Has 5+ years' experience delivering financial, asset, or economic analysis in a relevant technical environment.
Possesses advanced infrastructure investment knowledge.
Exhibits excellent technical ability and experience with data management and financial analysis tools.
Demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and oral, and is able to communicate with credibility and convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
Has experience with stakeholder engagement and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, both internally and externally.
