Senior Frontend Engineer - Growth Nz

We're seeking Front-End Engineers to join our Web Team. In this role, you'll join our newly formed Growth Team where every experiment you launch has the potential to impact millions of users. Your focus will be on experimentation, learning, and optimising our web application at the forefront of Generative AI to boost user engagement and drive conversion rates across subscription tiers.
What you'll do:
Make technical contributions in building a growth engine for our AI creative platform.
Build, test, and iterate on features rapidly, using data and user feedback to refine and optimise experiments.
Collaborate across data, product and design team members to interpret user behaviour and identify areas of improvement that lead to higher conversion rates.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering and AI.
Skills we like:
Commercial experience as a Front End Engineer.
You're excited by an environment where you can work across many different areas of our product and adapt to shifting priorities as you learn more from users and data.
Willingness to learn about growth metrics and how to use data to drive decisions and development priorities.
Project exposure with NextJS applications.
Deep-level knowledge of TypeScript and NodeJS.
Proven collaborator within cross-functional teams.
Curious and highly engaged with the latest product design, mobile app trends, and technology.
An innate drive for continuous learning and improvement.
Knowledge of UX Design is preferred but not essential.
Experience within a Growth team is a bonus!

Round 1 - Meet Your Recruiter:
Our Talent team will reach out and arrange a 30-minute video call where you'll cover your experience, skills, and career motivations. You'll also get essential context about the role, the team, and how you can contribute towards our goals.
Round 2 - Craft Interview:
You'll meet some team members to discuss the technical task in more depth, work through some technical questions related to your expertise and cover past projects, experience and career aspirations.
Round 3 - Technical Task:
If you're applying for a technical role, you may be given a short take-home task to assess your skills and approach to problem-solving. This could be a real-life business scenario to unpack, a presentation, a test or a collaboration exercise. (Please note, depending on the role, the order of rounds 2 & 3 are interchangeable)
Round 4 - Values interview:
You'll be able to meet with the Department Head for a short, informal conversation to understand your potential impact, the growth area we can support, and how aligned you are with our values and culture.
