Te Whiwhinga mahi| The opportunity Auckland Transport is shaping Auckland with infrastructure projects in design, construction and delivery phases across Auckland, making sure you have transport choices to move you around our city. Our Funding & Analysis team is responsible for analysing the costs and benefits of these projects as well as sourcing funding for each project to ensure that we deliver for Auckland. We are on the hunt for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the team! As the Senior Financial Analyst, reporting to the Head of Funding & Analysis, you are responsible for providing economic and financial analysis and advice to support decision-makers, assisting with development of business cases and funding applications and carrying our peer reviews. You will carry out financial modelling of Auckland Transport's projects and operations. This includes: Contributing to development of business cases, particularly financial, economic and commercial casesPeer reviewing business cases prepared by external consultantsKeeping up to date with changes to the New Zealand Transport Agency's Investment Decision Making Framework, and maintaining a high degree of expertise in application of economic methodologies and the benefits management frameworkLiaising with other AT staff, the New Zealand Transport Agency and external consultants on economic assessment and modelling of AT's projectsCarrying out post-implementation reviews of completed projects, and assessing benefits realisedWorking on initiatives to optimise funding sources, or financing optionsYou will need to have the perfect blend of technical skills and communication skills as you present economic and financial information to non-financial audiences. Ideally, you will have a background in economics, finance, business advisory, policy analysis or business case development.
