Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to transition into property finance? A leading property finance company in Auckland is seeking an Associate Lending Manager with a background in quantity surveying. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your property development expertise in a financial context, with potential for growth into a full Lending Manager position.
Position Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a crucial roleworking alongside Lending Managers to manage existing property loans and analyze new opportunities across residential and commercial developments.
This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your quantity surveying skills in a financial context, with potential growth into a lending management role.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial assessments of loan applications and report to the Lending Manager
Monitor and manage loans, including site checks, attending Project Control Group (PCG) meetings, and assessing progress claims
Deliver project feasibility reports at the commencement of engagements
Produce monthly Drawdown Certification Reports & Financials.
Obtain and interpret financial data across multiple projects.
Conduct site visits to assess project status, progress, and adherence to schedules
Attend industry events as required
Assist Lending Managers in ensuring loans are fully repaid at maturity
Help prepare regular reports on various aspects of existing loan books
Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and project teams
Qualifications and Skills:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
Experience in commercial and/or residential developments.
Understanding of the property development and construction processes.
Strong analytical and financial interpretation skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
Willingness to learn and grow in the property finance sector
