Collections Librarian Rolleston, New Zealand Reference: 6621239 About the Role Join Selwyn District Council's dynamic Arts, Culture, and Lifelong Learning Team as our Collections Librarian, where you'll play a pivotal role in planning, managing, and overseeing the procurement of physical and digital content for the district's library network.
Utilising analytics and collaborating with professional suppliers, you'll ensure the delivery of high-quality, dynamic content that caters to the diverse needs and interests of our community.
This role is part time, working 32 hours per week Tuesday to Friday.
About You The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary-level qualification and demonstrate proven work experience and skills in libraries or the wider GLAM Sector (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums), education, publishing, sales, accounts management, or the book industry.
As an excellent communicator and collaborator, you'll excel at liaising with both internal and external customers.
Your keen analytical skills will enable you to identify trends, allowing us to proactively meet the evolving needs of our community.
You will be a fast learner and willing to teach and mentor.
Good understanding and knowledge of Te Ao Maori and demonstrated commitment to upholding the Te Tiriti o Waitangi is desired.
Your positive, forward-thinking mindset with a willingness to explore innovative approaches, will be key to your success in the role.
