The Role
Manage and mentor a small professional team across the accounting function
Prepare regular financial management reports including variance analysis to assist Management, Boards and Committees
Prepare annual financial accounts and financial statements in preparation for audit/review.
Manage audit processes including appointment of an auditor, management of the audit process and addressing audit reports.
Evaluate systems, procedures and practices and make recommendations for, and implement, improvements.
Manage the preparation of operating budgets (including capex plans) and financial forecasts.
Provide strategic advice and guidance from a financial position to the Senior Management Team.
Oversee managed investment funds and assist Investment Sub-committee.
Undertake processing of accounts payable and receivable data, accounts reconciliation and financial records and reports.
Manage payments, term deposits and financial transactions with banks and other financial institutions.
About you
You must be sympathetic to the mission and the projects that they are working on and towards
Bachelors degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in Accounting
CA qualification or equivalent is preferred
Experience providing strategic advice to SLT and boards such as insurance, capital asset management and risk
Ability to work across a multi-entity business
Experience in Xero is desired.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
