We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and report into our Head of Engineering. Providing subject matter expertise and execution across technologies that meet customer requirements for rapid service delivery, reliability, and innovation. You will be a key member in a strong team of DevOps Engineers who assist in maintaining a portfolio of software applications and continuous integration/deployment across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities: Play a key role in driving cultural shift towards DevOps and SRE delivery best practices across the organisation.
Deliver continuous integration / continuous delivery processes, practices, and platforms.
Discover, prioritise and implement constant improvements to the ways of working and processes within the DevOps team and across the product-engineering squads.
Involved in hands-on work across infrastructure as code, CI/CD and automation as well as security.
Design and develop self-service solutions for the engineering department to deliver software with excellent quality and speed.
Mentoring and developing junior team members.
Participating in DevOps on-call duties.
Execute projects within timeframes and communicate well with all stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications: Proven experience in a DevOps environment.
Hands-on experience with cloud solutions at massive scale and resiliency.
Advanced AWS expertise (Especially EC2, ECS, IAM, Networking, Lambda, VPC, Kinesis).
Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automations.
Experience with managing and querying relational and NoSQL databases (RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB).
Extensive hands-on experience and understanding of CI/CD practices and pipelines.
Experience operating software in production: building monitoring into your code, tweaking dashboards, and defining alerts (Datadog, PagerDuty, and AWS CloudWatch).
Understanding of microservices & distributed application architecture, cloud patterns and supporting technology.
Strong communication, project, and stakeholder management both internal and external.
Bachelor's Degree in either Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Mathematics, Computer Systems, or equivalent experience.
