As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll play a vital role in generating actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to support decision-making across the organisation. We're looking for someone with a natural curiosity for data and a passion for transforming complex information into compelling stories that drive business value. You will focus on understanding key business and customer problems, identifying gaps, and providing actionable recommendations through advanced analytics and business intelligence tools.

Located in Auckland or Wellington we work in a hybrid WFH model, with Wednesday and Friday based in the studio each week.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to uncover meaningful insights

Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define and execute data and analytics strategies

Generate impactful insights from complex data sources, crafting compelling narratives

Transform insights into recommendations for strategy, experience design, and creative processes

Create and maintain advanced visualisations and dashboards using BI tools

Proactively identify trends and patterns in data to drive business opportunities

Lead implementation of data tracking systems and quality assurance protocols

Work with data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines

Guide data governance and best practices

Share knowledge and mentor junior analysts in developing their analytical capabilities

Present analytics findings directly to clients with compelling storytelling

Champion data-driven decision-making across the organisation

Develop innovative approaches to problem-solving using data

QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS:

Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related field

Strong analytical mindset with ability to see beyond the numbers to extract meaningful insights

Natural curiosity and drive to continuously explore and understand data patterns

Advanced proficiency in SQL and data manipulation

Expert knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio)

Strong experience with Google Analytics and Tag Manager

Proficiency in statistical analysis and data modelling

Experience with Python/R for data analysis

Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and tools

Understanding of data governance and privacy requirements

Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights

Strong project management capabilities

Passion for data education and improving organisational data literacy

Demonstrated ability to think strategically and connect data insights to business outcomes

Relevant certifications in Google Analytics, Power BI, or Tableau preferred
