Exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer

Our client is on a mission to harness the power of data to drive strategic goals and transform their organisation into a data-driven entity. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their dynamic team and play a pivotal role in evolving Enterprise Data Management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and organize raw data to identify trends and insights.
Build and maintain robust data systems and integration pipelines.
Collaborate with data analysts and architects on diverse projects.
Conduct complex data analysis and prepare datasets for predictive modeling.
Develop algorithms and prototypes to enhance data quality and reliability.
Identify opportunities for data acquisition and develop analytical tools.
Support digital transformation initiatives by ensuring efficient functioning of business applications with a clear understanding of master data.
Desired Outcomes:
Drive continuous improvement in the data ecosystem and enhance our ability to scale through effective data migrations and systems integrations.
Complement enterprise data architecture practices to inform better decision-making through insights derived from data.
Build a real-time data platform that ensures security and compliance.
Key Skills:
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL; hands-on experience with data manipulation and database design
Hands-on experience with Azure Datalake Gen2, Synapse Analytics and creating data ingestion pipelines with Synapse and understand Azure Blob storage as well as medallion architecture
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft SQL, Azure Data Platform technologies).
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
Understanding of machine learning methodologies and experience with NoSQL platforms (e.g., MongoDB, Hadoop).
Experience in Azure machine learning and exposure to Snowflake, desired but not a must
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT Architecture, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer or in a similar role.
Proven expertise in data mining, segmentation techniques, and data transformation activities at an enterprise level.
Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and familiarity with data analysis tools such as Power BI.
