We are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Consultant to join our Digital Services team and support the Head of Cyber Security to deliver our cyber security strategy and its programme of works.
This role will play an integral part in our digital ambition to build a sustainable cyber security capability for the organisation and its joint ventures.
This is a highly visible role across the business and will require someone to develop, maintain and communicate business-centric cyber security best practices throughout the organisation.
The successful candidate will be required to have hands-on cyber security experience as they will be expected to assess cyber security risks and guide the implementation of security controls.
The Senior Cyber Security Consultant will be a key cyber security contact for Southern Cross Healthcare and will be required to communicate confidently and effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements: At least 7 years' experience in a cyber-security role or in an IT technical role with demonstrated responsibilities for cyber security.
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, engineering, computer science or other relevant area of study.
Relevant IT Security or other cyber security certification(s) e.g., Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), CISA, CRISC or CISSP certifications.
SABSA or similar security architecture certifications.
Ability to demystify cyber security to non-technical members of the organisation and to manage the security awareness programme across the business.
Experience in developing cyber security strategies and programmes of work to address cyber risk.
Hands-on experience of assessing and implementing cyber security services, tools and their configurations.
Hands-on experience of assessing technical designs for cyber risk and ability to recommend appropriate security controls.
Demonstrated experience in defining and evolving key security metrics and governance reporting.
Experience of organisation-wide tool and/or technology deployment, rollout to the business.
Knowledge of modern cyber security practices and technologies (e.g., web filtering, malware, anti-spam, firewalls, proxy solutions, Endpoint protection, PIM, PAM, etc.)
Experienced in writing end user security documentation: strategies, policies, standards, procedures, guides, etc.
Strong time, stakeholder, and vendor management abilities.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision and with other department personnel.
