With a focus on developing an integrated multi modal transport system, Transport Services works alongside local and central government partners to ensure optimal investment that delivers the best long-term transport outcomes. The range of interesting and complex projects in the mix means we are seeking commercially experienced professionals to lead and partner with our Project teams who will be responsible to drive the best commercial outcomes for our organisation whilst overseeing the risk mitigation strategies across a range of diverse projects. We currently have opportunities for a Lead Advisor and a Principal Commercial Lead within our Commercial Delivery team. A snapshot of what we are looking for: Our Lead Advisor is a greenfield opportunity where you will provide policy, planning and operational support to the National Manager Commercial Delivery to facilitate the achievement of organisational and management objectives. This is an important and integral role, ensuring the effective delivery of outcomes and programmes, collaborating across Transport Services and Waka Kotahi to embed and drive effective commercial capability. You will have the opportunity to utilise your thought leadership and practical expertise to provide guidance and strategic advice across Waka Kotahi to further propel and install financial acumen and commercial management best practice. Our Principal Commercial Leads champion the development of NZTA Waka Kotahi's commercial acumen capability across our Transport Services project delivery streams. Working alongside the Programme and Project teams, you'll lead initiatives, conduct project reviews from inception through to implementation, assist with negotiations, dispute resolutions, overseeing financial parameters, as well as mentoring and coaching the Commercial Advisors and others involved with project commercial management. You will also provide leadership with risk management and contractual acumen and provide opportunity for the project managers to better understand the project risks, contractual challenges and opportunities and the required mitigation's and external. You offer exceptional communication skills, are a highly capable negotiator and influencer who can cater to a variety of audiences. You ideally have developed your experience within a consulting or construction environment . Ideally you have gained deep experience in a like for like role either locally or internationally, which will be highly regarded.
