At Manatu Hauora – Ministry of Health we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance. We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters.

The Digital and Information Services group is responsible for ensuring the Ministry effectively uses information and technology to support its role in the health system.

Ko ake mahi - What you'll do

The Senior Business Architect ensures an enterprise perspective is applied to bring together a single view of the business systems and process and lead the design of a simplified digital services portfolio.

In this role you will consider high level common processes and functions across the Ministry of Health and between Health New Zealand, and support the Cloud & Security architect to identify, validate, and articulate the benefits of moving to a more streamlined, simplified digital services portfolio.

Some of your day-to-day work will involve:

Assessing and mapping business processes, capabilities, and functions

Developing and implementing framework to streamline common business processes

Facilitating workshops to foster collaboration and understanding across silos

Demonstrated experience in IT technical domains, solution development, and technical leadership

Deep knowledge of current and emerging data and digital trends in at least two domain areas

Proven track record in developing sustainable, reusable high-quality technical solutions

Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex technical issues to a range of audiences – here this will include clinical, government, senior management, and the public.
