Based in Britomart, Auckland
The Financial Markets (FM) Trade Support Team provide day to day support to the Financial Markets Front Office Teams (FICC\Credit Trading & Corporate and Institutional Sales). The overall objective of the team is to enhance the front to back trade flow from onboarding through to trade entry and break resolution. The team is involved in post execution activities and work closely with Sales and Trading across a range of products including Bonds, Interest Rate Derivatives and FX.

Day-to-day responsibilities will be comprised of:
Processing lifecycle activities in the risk management systems such as allocations, novation's, bond factors updates and futures liquidations or exercises.
Manual trade capture of deal inputs when required.
Post execution trade amendments due to STP issues or minor booking errors.
Post execution sales Markitwire ticket entry including ensuring the resolution of breaks in the Markitwire clearing and error queues.
First point of contact for queries from internal teams such as settlements, confirmation, finance and reconciliation teams as well as following through to ensure the timely resolution of any breaks.
Resolution of IT issues affecting the straight through processing of trades and assistance with mapping requests and system set ups on behalf of Sales.
Provision and assistance with the accurate capture of sales revenue credits on behalf of the business.
Assistance in the onboarding and product enablement for Sales including follow up on client static issues or queries.
Possess a continuous improvement mindset to enhance trade lifecycle workflows, improve trader P/L and risk estimates and more accurate trade booking.
Be involved in a range of projects related to supporting the business such as support new business initiatives or regulatory changes.
Assist with PnL or Risk queries when raised.

You will have solid stakeholder management skills within Financial Markets. You will be able to build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships which result in the consistent delivery of high-quality work. You will also possess strong Financial Market product knowledge and be able to identify potential risks and collaborate with internal teams to establish effective controls. You will also have excellent time management skills and the ability to quickly pivot work focus due to volume and priority within a sales or trading environment.
Some further advantageous skills:
Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Murex and/or Calypso.
Ability to troubleshoot settlement and booking issues related to complex trade bookings.
Experience supporting deal inputs, resolving, and amending errors and supporting the ongoing trade reconciliation processes.
Excel VBA would be highly regarded skillset and the ability to demonstrate the use of this to enhance processes.
