Tuaropaki Trust was born from the unity of 279 Maori landowners in 1952. The original owners of the Tuaropaki whenua believed that they could achieve more by working together. They amalgamated their family lands under an overarching vision to develop the land to provide opportunities for our whanau.
Today, Tuaropaki Trust is an Ahu Whenua Trust under the auspices of Te Ture Whenua Maori. There are more than 2,700 Owners, a mix of individuals, Whanau Trusts and Kaitiaki Trusts, all descended from the original Owners. The Trust is a kaitiaki for ancestral taonga and manages complex business interests in the food and energy sectors, with assets valued at around $1 billion. The Trust also has investments in North America.

The Role:
Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Investments Officer and as a key member of the Strategy and Investments team, the Financial Performance and Analytics Manager will be responsible for providing insights that drive significant and timely interventions in the operation and performance of Tuaropaki's investments and assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver insightful reports on Trust performance.
Deliver accurate forecasts supporting ongoing compliance and investment capacity.
Develop initiatives that manage risk and leverage opportunities.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of Trust transactions, payments, and journals.
Work as an active member of the Strategy and Investment Team, collaboratively and continually improving achievement of team objectives.
Lead and Mentor direct reports, fostering a collaborative, positive and innovative work environment.
Contribute to a positive and supportive work culture through open communication, teamwork, and respect.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating technical information.
Share technical expertise and best practices to enhance team skills and capabilities.
Actively promote the Trust's values and interests
What You'll Need to be Successful:
Prior experience in top tier financial/investment advisory or management consultancy roles.
Chartered Accountant or Chartered Financial Analyst preferred.
Significant expertise in financial modelling and reporting with advanced Microsoft Suite skills.
Ability to manipulate data warehouses using SQL, or reporting tools within ERP systems to quickly and accurately create insights.
Ability to create external data queries into financial models and monthly reports.
Prior experience in driving ambitious and transformational change in financial SLAs.
Proven utilisation of advanced financial modelling tools such as PowerBI, complex IRR models, complex cash flow models, integration models etc.
