(Wellington-Altus) is the parent company to Wellington-Altus Private Counsel Inc., Wellington-Altus USA Inc., Wellington-Altus Insurance Inc., Wellington-Altus Group Solutions Inc., and Wellington-Altus Private Wealth Inc.—the top-rated* investment dealer in Canada and one of Canada's Best Managed Companies.*Investment Executive 2024 Brokerage Report Card.About West Oak:West Oak Family Office in Calgary, Alberta has brought together a dedicated team to support your every move ensuring that all facets of your family's wealth are fully understood, properly integrated, administratively maintained, and fit your life, both now and in the years ahead.The opportunity:Reporting to Senior Portfolio Managers at West Oak Family Office, the Senior Associate, Relationship Management plays an integral role in managing client relationships and delivering superior investment management and family office services to West Oak Family Office (WOFO)'s high and ultra-high-net-worth clients.Key responsibilities include:Managing and maintaining client relationships for WOFO's top clients.Working closely with the Senior Wealth Advisors/Senior Portfolio Managers to deliver wealth management services.Responding to client inquiries and providing timely and accurate information.Preparing and coordinating client meetings, including agendas, presentations, meeting materials, and follow-ups.Attending client meetings, as requested.Proactively managing and maintaining client relationships with rising generation clients.Supervising Associates in the preparation of quarterly client reports.Working closely with the Senior Tax Advisor, Wealth Planning to deliver family office services.Assisting in the preparation of proforma tax returns for individuals, corporations, and trusts.Administrating trust documentation.Preparing reports for corporate T2 and Trust T3 returns for delivery to accountants/clients.Pulling and providing tax slips for accountants/clients.Providing data inputs to assist in preparation of financial plans.Training new Associates, Relationship Management and providing ongoing guidance, direction, and mentorship.Collaborating with the Investment Management team on various operational projects.Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of best practices and process improvements.Collaborating with internal teams to deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions.Staying up to date on firm and industry administrative and compliance policies.Establishing and maintaining Relationship Management policies and procedures manual.Maintaining up-to-date client records and documentation.Utilizing CRM tool (Maximizer) to efficiently manage tasks and maintain client documentation.Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.Performing other duties as assigned.The ideal candidate will possess:A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field of study.A minimum of 5 years' experience in wealth management in a client-facing role.RR licensed and current registration in good standing.Enrollment or completion of the WME designation.Professional designation of CFP, PFP is an asset.Life and A&S Insurance licensed is an asset.Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and financial software applications.A strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and financial planning.Working knowledge of personal, family trust, and corporate taxation for financial planning.In-depth knowledge of investment industry rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.An ability to be detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.An ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills and professionalism.Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.Conditions of employment:Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.Current and maintained registration as an RR, including completion of all courses and experience requirements.A background check may be required of the successful applicant.Wellington-Altus Private Wealth is committed to equity and diversity within its community and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals.If you require accommodation for the recruitment process, please let us know at the point of application.To apply:Click the Apply for This Job button to submit your resume, cover letter, and salary expectations.
