The Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) Operations Team manages the ETS, supporting people participating in the ETS and carbon market while enhancing confidence in the ETS as a tool for reducing carbon emissions. The ETS Operations team is a small team, so we're looking for a well-rounded Senior Analyst who is a team player, not afraid of getting their hands dirty with the more transactional aspects of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality analysis and advice to inform decision making for the ETS and New Zealand Emission Trading Register.
Produce timely and accurate reporting to inform the ETS market.
Respond to data requests.
Work collaboratively with a team of like-minded analysts, thinking strategically and solving problems.
Mentor and coach other analysts, sharing your expertise as needed.
Assist with the legislative development process.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government colleagues and suppliers.
Provide guidance and help to resolve issues for ETS participants.
Ensure processes are documented and consistently followed while looking for opportunities to improve them.
Work with other team members to make sure ETS returns and applications are processed in a timely manner to ensure that statutory timeframes are met.
If you have experience as a senior analyst, particularly in roles involving complex legislation, expertise in collecting and analysing large data sets, and the ability to think proactively and operate at a senior level, we would love to hear from you.
