Te Haeata / The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to provide 12 months parental leave cover as a Senior Advisor in the Ministry of Justice's Strategic Sourcing Team within Commercial Services.
No two days will be the same. You will support the broadest range of sourcing activities including social services; every category except property procurement comes through our team.

The Commercial Services unit sits within the Corporate Services group. It provides advice and manages efficient, value for money procurement practices for the Ministry, including advising and developing the Ministry's procurement strategy and policies in line with the Government Procurement Rules.
The unit aims to optimise costs, ensure product and service quality, and to mitigate procurement-related risks. Our work spans the whole contract life cycle from the identification of needs through to the end of a service contract, or the end of the useful life and disposal of an asset.
The Strategic Sourcing Team is responsible for the enterprise-wide sourcing strategy and activities. From routine secondary procurement processes through to outcomes-based significant social services delivery, this team handles a wide range of initiatives and supports every part of the Ministry.
