| Who are we looking for?You will be an experienced generalist who can hit the ground running.
You'll have the skills and confidence to lead pieces of work, from policy development to project work.As an effective relationship manager, you'll be able to work collaboratively with your peers and with people leaders across the organisation.You'll be experienced in providing dedicated support to business groups to help them achieve their goals, and building people leadership capability, ideally in a public service context.
You'll love working at pace and juggling lots of things at once, and not be phased by having to turn your mind to big picture matters in one minute, and ensuring you complete HR processes in the next.Our ideal candidate will have:Experienced in delivering on people strategies, initiatives, and systems.Experience in coaching and supporting leaders at a variety of different levels in their leadership journey.A proven track record of successfully growing organisation capability and leadership within a changing environment.An understanding of the role of public service agencies and a commitment to the overall goals and objectives of the NZ Public Service.Employment relations management and dispute resolution experience.Understanding of te ao Maori and te Tiriti o Waitangi or a willingness and commitment to learn.Be driven to achieve continuous improvement across the people and capability function by questioning the status quo and simplifying and streamlining processes.Understand best practice operating models that are streamlined and appropriate for the organisation.A relevant tertiary qualification and extensive and comparable relevant experienceYou will be part of our small, high performing People and Capability team, within the Corporate Services function where you will be supported to learn, succeed, and have fun while delivering meaningful work for all our people.Ko wai koe?
