The role | Te tunga
The role is a permanent position based in Whanganui-a-tara, reporting to the Senior Manager, Maori Partnerships and Engagement. The primary focus is to provide strategic and operational assistance to the work programme, facilitating the effective achievement of both internal and external deliverables within the Maori Partnerships and Engagements team. We see you bringing a close eye for detail, an enabler who keeps everything operating smoothly with a clear focus on delivering for and with Iwi Maori and understanding of Te Ao Maori.
What you bring | Nou te rourou
This role would suit someone who can show:
Knowledge and experience, or willingness to learn about Te Tiriti, Tikanga, Te Reo and Te Ao Maori.
Examples where you've worked with Maori, iwi, hapu and Tiriti partners.
Demonstration of matauranga Maori, fluency in te reo, understanding of tikanga and applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi in a work setting.
Examples of key relationships you've built and how and why relationships are important.
Where you've demonstrated customer centricity, collaborated with others and invited feedback.
